We never sub-contract. Every roofer on your job is part of the Acorn team, trained across slate, clay and concrete tile roofing, EPDM and GRP flat roofing systems, UPVC fascias, Soffits and guttering, and chimney repair and repointing. We use quality materials from trusted UK suppliers, work in all weather where it is safe to do so, and leave every site clean and tidy. Our prices are fair, our quotes are written and itemised, and we offer a 14-day cooling-off period on all new roof installations.

All six services below are available with a free, no-obligation site visit. Call 01223 859867 (Cambridge) or 01480 877624 (St Neots) to book yours.
Our Cambridge and St Neots teams provide fast, reliable roof repairs for all types of roof: slate, concrete tile, clay, flat and more. We diagnose the root cause, repair it properly, and back every repair with our workmanship guarantee.
Full roof installations covering everything from new pitched roofs and flat roofs to velux window integration and chimney repairs. Whether you’re working on a new build or replacing an ageing structure, we provide tailored solutions.
We install Firestone RubberCover EPDM, GRP fibreglass and high-performance felt systems — each chosen for long-term durability, excellent drainage and low ongoing maintenance. All our flat roofs are fully guaranteed and come with a 14-day cooling-off period.
We specialise in the professional installation of premium-quality gutters, fascias, and soffits, designed to enhance and protect your property. Our low-maintenance, weather-resistant UPVC guttering solutions offer long-lasting durability and effortless upkeep, ensuring your home remains safeguarded against the elements.
Cracked pointing, deteriorating flaunching, loose chimney pots and failing lead flashing all allow water ingress that can spread into ceilings and walls long before it becomes visible. Our roofers carry out chimney repointing, reflashing, pot replacement and full stack rebuilds across Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon & Cambridgeshire.
Nesting pigeons, starlings and gulls cause significant damage to roof tiles, lead flashings, guttering and solar panels — while the accumulation of droppings creates health hazards and accelerates material decay. We install discreet, humane bird proofing systems including stainless steel spikes, tensioned wire, mesh exclusion and netting across all roof types in Cambridge & Cambridgeshire.
A roof is not a small purchase. It’s a structural necessity that protects everything inside your home. When things go wrong — a winter storm, a slow leak, a collapsed chimney stack — you need a roofing company that responds fast, diagnoses correctly and delivers what it promises. Here’s why so many Cambridgeshire homeowners come back to Acorn, and recommend us to their neighbours.
Our team has hands-on experience across all roof types and materials, working on everything from Cambridge's Victorian terraces and Fen farmhouses to modern new-build estates across Cambridgeshire.
We visit your property, inspect the roof thoroughly and provide a detailed written quotation — including photographs of any problem areas. You'll know exactly what work is involved, exactly what materials will be used, and exactly what it will cost. No vague estimates, no surprise additions.
Repairs, re-roofing, flat roofing, guttering, chimneys, bird proofing — all carried out by the same trusted team. No need to manage multiple trades or chase different contractors. One call to Acorn covers everything your roof needs.
Our roofers are polite, punctual and professional. They'll introduce themselves, explain what they're doing throughout the job and leave your property exactly as they found it — only with a better roof. No pushy salespeople, no unnecessary upselling.
With offices in both Cambridge and St Neots, we're genuinely local across the whole county. From Peterborough and Ely in the north to Royston and Saffron Walden in the south, and everywhere in between — you'll have a team nearby that can respond quickly when it matters.
We protect your gardens, driveways and interiors throughout every job. All debris, old slates, tiles and packing is removed and disposed of responsibly. When we leave, the only evidence we were there is a roof that looks and performs exactly as it should.

With two offices — one in Cambridge city and one in St Neots — Acorn Property Improvements provides genuinely fast, local roofing services to the whole of Cambridgeshire and the wider Huntingdonshire area. Cambridge is our largest service area, with its mix of Victorian terraces, Georgian townhouses, student letting properties and modern new-builds presenting every kind of roofing challenge. Our Huntingdonshire team based in St Neots covers the market towns and villages north and west of Cambridge with the same speed and standard of service.
Verified five-star Google reviews from homeowners in Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon and the surrounding villages. Read what our customers say about the quality of our roofing work, our communication and how we leave their properties.
Every job in our gallery was completed by our own team — no subcontractors, no stock images. From full slate re-roofs on Cambridge period properties to flat roof replacements on Huntingdonshire extensions and chimney rebuilds in the Fen villages, the gallery reflects the breadth of what we do and the standard we deliver.
The cost of a new roof in Cambridge depends on several factors: the size and pitch of the existing roof, the type of tiles or slates specified, whether new fascias, guttering or lead work is needed, and the condition of the existing structure. A typical three-bedroom semi-detached re-roof in the Cambridge area generally runs into several thousand pounds, but the only accurate figure comes from a proper on-site inspection and measurement. We provide free, written, itemised quotations with no obligation to proceed — call our Cambridge team on 01223 859867 to arrange yours.
Most minor roof repairs — such as replacing slipped tiles, resealing flashing or repointing ridge tiles — are completed within a single half-day visit. More involved repairs such as chimney reflashing, valley reline or flat roof patch repairs typically take a full day. A full re-roof of a standard domestic property in Cambridgeshire usually takes between three and six working days, depending on the roof area, specification and weather conditions.
Yes — all of our roofing work is backed by a full workmanship guarantee, which is confirmed in writing as part of your quotation. New roof installations also include a 14-day cooling-off period. We stand behind everything we do, and if something isn't right, we come back and put it right. That commitment is one of the reasons we've built a five-star rating across more than 67 Google reviews from customers in Cambridge, Huntingdon, St Neots and across Cambridgeshire.
